You can get the HFP suspension for $450 on Handa. So it's not any more that what you will pay for aftermarket suspension...and in most cases it's much cheaper...my Koni shocks were more than that alone.
I think it just comes down to what you want. If you want just a little drop and don't want to lose ride quality, I could see the HFP being a good option. If you want more performance then yes, you'll need to look to aftermarket.
But I don't think it's a bad package. A coupe all decked out with HFP items would be a sweet daily driver.
