save time and just put a b18c swap in it off the bat a gsr motor is around 2500 and has 170-178hp depending on which you get and a typer is around 3500 and has 200-210hp depending on which you get. Youll get a manual and the same if not better power than youll get out of running a turbo on a stock lx motor and it's all natural so it's truly long lasting reliable power. youll probably be into about the same money after you buy the turbo then a manual trans and soforth
extreamly over priced... if he was going to go b18 swap, i'd rather see him go with an ls motor that could be boosted afterwords.. ls swap with tranny for like 800-1000
either way, theres a lot more to going from auto to manual than just the tranny!
