1990 integra has no spark
I have a 1990 Acura integra GS that does not have any spark. I have put on a new distributor, cap and rotor, but still no spark. The car actually belongs to my brother-in-law, and he said that it was driving fine the night before, but when he went to start in the morning, he said it was completely dead and when he looked under the hood, the battery looked like it had boiled over and was dead. He since changed the battery and the alternator because he said when he took that in to get checked, they said it was bad as well. I started looking through the fuses and the 10amp fuse for the ECU was blown, I replaced this but still get no spark. I am wondering if maybe the ECU is messed up and if there is a way to have it tested, or at least check the inputs that should go to it. I am not sure which sensors there are that may cause this problem, but I am trying to check everything else before I go buy another ECU from Acura for $895. Or is there an after market ECU that I can get, Pep Boys and Kragen dont seem to have them.
Thanks,
