I spoke with my brother and he said it counted up like that when it was really hot out and would eventually quit. His gas and temp gauges quit (mine eventually did too ) and he replaced the clock with them, so I don't know of a cure. I have a spare clock, I'll test and see if it still works and if it does I'll hook you up.
