But what if... while durring his reformation, he helped convice a dozen young men that joining a gang was a bad thing to do. Thus helping to prevent, theoretically, more violence. Maybe even indirectly saving lives by helping people go down a better path?
How many people would have to be "saved" like this for it to matter? Could he ever "save" enough youths from gang violence to be forgiven?
He may have taken 4 lives, but what if that helped save 10 more.... 100 more... 1,000 more. Sure we'll never really know for sure how much he helped after the fact... but just imagine that he did help.
Go ask the families of those murdered this question. Gauge their reaction. It still doesnt bring the living back from the dead.
