Battery problem drain, this is a strange one
having a problem with my 94 civic ex, would really love some insight into it from someone more knowledgeable than myself....so, this week as I was driving, I would see the battery light blink, and there was less than full power to the wipers, lights, etc. Then two nights ago after driving home from work, as I went to park, the car went dead via no battery power, no electric, engine wouldnt turn over etc. Strangely, I waited about 5 mins, and it started back up, allowing me to park it. So, my first thought was that the ground connection was loose (which it was). I tightened it this morning, let the car warm up, everything looked normal, drove a buddy to his house, bout a 10 min. drive, and as I arrived, the car began to go dead again, wipers slowed down, speedometer zeroed, rpms zeroed, and then it was dead again. Go it parked, left for 5 hrs, came back to the car and it started right up. So, the battery will hold a charge when shut off, and I can start it, but then it runs down while I drive. If i shut it off the battery will come back, only to die while i'm driving. had the alternator replaced 5 months ago......please hook me up with some insight/ideas, thanks in advance, gotta get this thing sorted out.
