Impact driver worked on mine after being on there for about 10yrs. in a northern climate. The impact driver is a good tool with other uses. I'd recommend keeping the screws or getting new ones. The screws also keep the rotors precisely centered. The lugnuts might keep it centered but it might still be off a tad. Good luck.
