The phrase "...To persuade the audience..." sounds a little strained to my ear.
I'd use an active voice and be specific about which economy / industry benefits from piracy.


EXAMPLE:

"Specific Purpose: Argue (or articulate) the economic benefits of media piracy within the music industry."
