soaked in a home made parts tank...get some mineral spirits and a bucket...let them soak for a while and then with a stiff brissle NON metal brush scrub the carbon off, followed by another soak and the final shit will come off with a toothbrush and some towels...it takes a bit longer than the hot tank but works wonders.
