I would say it's more that they're slaves of high $ dollar donating lobbyists ( one very extreme base that plays both parties) and at the same time trying so hard not to alienate any of the various "base" voting groups that exist by pretending to be moderate and shifting their platforms to whatever situation they're in, rendering both completley ineffective as anything but enforcers of the interests of the extremley wealthy, but in general yeah, what you say is right on,,

And about this thread, jesus fucking christ. Dem's are changing their platform about the war yeah. So is the national popular opinion, so are Congress and the Senate (both with what party in majroity again?), so, I would argue, is anyone who has thught about the pros and cons of our continued presence there.

pointing out that democrats are politicians, doing something politicians do, seems like someone has an axe to grind, doesn't it?... after all republicans do exaclty the same thing all the time, and their party certainly isn't involved in a bunch of scandals that are about 1000 times worse right now, or are they??

honestly, all snarking aside, what's the reason for pointing this out?
