If I was that bad of a driver I would probably get beat by anything that I raced no matter what I was driving. Unfortunately (i say that because this doesnt help solve my issue) im quite a proficient weekend bracket racer so I highly doubt that my driving skills are the reason for the lack of power. However your second comment and bambbrose's comment may be of some help. The car acts exactly like both of you describe. Low end feels fine and I can hear vtec switch on. But the car just isn’t much faster once vtec does switch over. When the vtec switches on it feels almost the same as when the D16Y8 in my previous civic ex switched over, makes a lot of noise but doesn’t go much faster. I will check the throttle cable in a few minutes, but if that’s not it then I will defiantly need to have it tuned.

Also could my exhaust be holding back a lot of the power? Or is it just minimal gains on that engine?
