i remember back in the 80s, when i was a kid, my parents would always tell me to turn on the car so it can "warm up." the idle rpm's would be all high, but after it was "warmed up" the idle rpm's would be low. but thats on old cars and you have a new car. this might be stupid but you do know the check engine light comes on when its due for an oil change right. but it doesnt come on when its due, it actually comes on at preset miles. besides that, i dont know what else could be wrong with your car.
