I strongly believe that your lost motion assemblies have become rusted and are having issues compressing. A buddy of mine had the same problem with his 1st gen B16 since it was sitting without running for so long. You will need to get a new set of LMAs and the ITR ones would be a nice little upgrade since they have a bigger pad.
