Normal tint blocks UV rays as far as I know.

The Johnson brand tint on my g/f's 03 Civic EX coupe she had blocks up to 99% of the UV rays.

The SunTek brand tint on my g/f's 05 Accord LXSE coupe, and on my vehicle, blocks 99%.

The crappy 3M tint that I had on my vehicle since late 1991 blocked UV rays. My interior has very very slight fading.
