The North American Type S is exactly like the overseas Type S except it has a better engine and a 6 speed manual (and I think a better suspension as well). The JDM Type S uses the K20A3, the USDM uses the K20A2.
Compared to the Type R, yes the Type R is qutie a bit better than the North American Type S. However you also have to remember that Acura is looking to sell a decent daily driver (the Type S is a better daily driver) because of brand image and also because of practicality (i'm not sure how many people would want the 97 Octane Type R over here...).
In you're posts you seem like you think you're superior to us....like in the other thread where you laughed at the guy who had rattles and started off your post saying that it was because he was driving a rebadged Integra.
