I feel your pain. Sometimes I think my CB7 is going to outlast my '98. For example, I just replaced the original Denso alternator on my 91 and it had 208,000 miles on it. It never actually failed, but I knew that the brushes could only last so long. Contrast that with the POS Delphi (and GM wonders why they are in financial trouble) alternator on my '98 that failed at 25,000 miles.

Dozorca is right about being more forceful. Unfortunately, the only thing a car company understands is someone screaming at them (in person if possible).

I had a similar situation with an old Mustang (don't flame) that needed some body work after someone was kind enough to run a red llght and hit me. Long story short, the dealership was supposed to replace the door skin, and they used a dent puller and a generous helping of Bondo. I went to pick up the car and could easily tell it was a fill job because of the wavy look of the door. I argued with the shop Manager who insisted that they had replaced my door skin and didn't do a pull and fill job. I was so mad (and convinced that I was right ) that I went to the trunk, pulled out a screw driver, and jammed it in the door. Of course a chunk of Bondo fell off and revealed a nice line off popping tool holes. I cussed that guy across the parking lot, through the shop and into the office. He couldn't write me a check fast enough to get rid of me. I'm not saying that you need to be that drastic, but the squaky wheel does get the grease.
