This agreement still needs to be ratified by the union. Also, I believe that in that agreement, GM established a 1 billion dollar fund to help cushion healthcare costs. And if nothing else, the union established a culture where unskilled labor can make $20 and up an hour plus benefits; no company can survive that sort of expenditure.
