If you only wire them into a single channel of the amp, the power given out by the amp will be divided evenly between whatever subs are connected as long as they are the same.

If the subs are DVC, the only thing that will change is your ability to wire it to that amp. A pair of DVC 4OHM subs will net you either with 4 OHM or 1 OHM. Being in 4 OHM, the amp will not give as much power, and being at 1 OHM the amp will make more power, but might overheat (depending onthe amp)
