In an effort to completely obliterate the percieved difference between CAIs and SRIs, one can always duct cold air up toward the filter on your SRI.

I did this on my GTi to ostensibly reap the advantage of a true CAI without the fear of hydrolocking.

That said, I never had the chance to measure intake air temp at the filter to see if the duct made a difference at speed. h:
