SOAD, Soulfly, Pantera, and koRn are probably top four in metal.
Game, Eazy-E, Eminem, Mobb Deep (before gay-unit), Nas, Jedi Mind Tricks, Jurassic 5, Brotha Lynch Hung, and many, many others for rap/hip-hop.
