Missing the entire point. It's not about the sales numbers, it's about whether it competes well with the competition in features, in quality, etc... I doubt you're going to argue that no other truck in America holds a candle to the F-Series.
Also, I believe Impala is one of the best selling midsize sedans on the market.
And I believe Chrysler would disagree with you that nobody wants American cars. The market is there, just no one has catered to them for too long.
