You need to get the air out of the system.

Jack up the front end, throw some stands under it so both tires are equally off the ground.

Fill the fluid up

start the car

turn the wheel from lock to lock to fully cycle the system

check fluid level and top off

repeat till there is no bubbles coming out up in the res.
