Ok, now I get it. It didn't mention that specifically in the instructions but I knew that the LED had to be exposed for the thing to work. So you basically removed the center console(which I don't know how to do, hehe) and just made the little hole for the LED. I can see how that works.

What about the wires? Because I tried following the diagram the instructions had but I was too afraid of splicing into the wrong wire and not being able to reconnect it correctly. It mentions only the number of the pin and not the specific wire, if I remember correctly, and I wasn't sure which one to splice into.
