when i put my engine back together, i left the bracket there but didnt bolt the bottom of it. you've got to have little hands, time, and nerves of steel to get it off--really, you have to have all 3 not just a couple. i dont have nerves of steel so ill end up breaking something or breaking myself to get that damn thing off. good luck and it might be easier to attack these bolts from underneath the car.
