Default Is the 96-99 Intake Manifold Throttle Body, and Injectors better than a 92-95?

My friend just did a swap on his 96-99 Civic EX. He gave me his complete intake manifold with throttle body, fuel rail, and injectors. The motor had only 48k miles on it. I was told that this setup will lead to better air flow and more fuel if I swapped it on my 92-95 Civic EX motor. Even if it is minimal horsepower I don't mind. Every little bit helps racer like myself. I also heard that the wiring may be different because of some extra sensor and the OBD2 ECU it came off from. I am just hearing so much different sh*# that I don't want to install the intake manifold and then I throw a check engine light. All replies are appreciated!!

Also would I need the fuel pressure regulator or an aftermarket unit for the new injectors???
