I did some research on this a wile ago, the J-spec 2007 CRX is supposed to be build on the same platform as the Insight Hybrid. It would come out with a 1.0L DOHC V-tech having about 140hp in the standard, or a 1.6L High Output DOHC V-tech with about 170hp. I guess it supposed to weigh in at a little over 1700lbs, so the torque to HP ratios are supposed to be off the charts. If that were true it would be an absolutely amazing little car with either engine, but sadly that all just sounds too good to be true.
I'm afraid that the new CRX will have about the same problem that todays new Si has, which is that it'll just be too heavy. It'll need all the airbags that a regular car has, people will want power everything and by the time they give it a motor that will have comparitive fuel economy to the old CRX it just won't be as fast as everyone hopes it could be.
