no you need to do this because when you take the motor mount off, the engine will only be supported by the right motor mount and tranny mount. Also your gonna need to raise the engine a bit putting the mount back on.

Just take a hydralic jack and use a block of wood and jack it under the oil pan before you pull the motor mount.

so wood inbetween jack / oil pan! Good Luck!
