harder to push a car when you also gotta go against the engine and transmission. if its in neutral (or somewhat in first) there is less resistance.. you can just pick up the back end of the car (ebrake) and push it on to a trailor and presto! new stolen car. 2-3 people can easily lift up a honda's back end.
