well in your post. it sounds to me you like this car and you want to mod it. Although your knowledge / direction of the car is limitied.
As far as this whole "respect" or deal i was trying to get at is depends on what crowd your modding to please (of course it should be yourself but i know what your getting at). I'm having a hard time explaining what "respect" comes from where and why.
But i can definantly give you my views on a car cosmetically that i have respect for. I personally look for a car that is clean. My difinition of clean is that when i look at the car... i don't look at the rims, the hood, the weird wing, the outragious body kit etcc... when i look at the car, i see it as a unit. Everything works together to creat 1 cool looking car. So in other words, everything works together in a blend.
As far as upgrading performence parts? I like the hear the goals of the person first and see what sort of steps they are taking / planning on to get there. So if a person simply states "i'm not in the position to get turbo so i just bought an intake for now to help the car breathe a bit. I bought this brand because i like how it looks and it's carb legal." That's respectable.
Then you've got the mis-informed guy who says "i've got a cold air intake and muffler exhuast. I'm getting a chip installed soon so i'll be ready to race." This guy is a guy i love to hate. No respect because wtf is he talking about.
anyways i'm losing graspe of what i'm talking about so basically. Read, get a performence goal, look at cars on this forums boards.... put together a goal "look" for the car and bam... that's respectable. Anyone concur or dissagree?
