I guess you could relate it to an alligator. More like little Velociraptors(sp). But it's actually a desert lizard. They are pretty quick, but I take them out, and handle them pretty frequently (2-3 times a day), so they don't run away anymore. It's really cool to watch them hunt the crickets I feed them. 2 of them will heard the crickets to a side of the aquarium that the other two are hiding at, and then take turns. They eat mostly crickets and meal worms, but I feed them collard greens, and spinach with cheese grated in once or twice a week. They go for $50-80 depending where you find them.
