My guess is that the NXT is oil based, and the quick detailer is water based. The quick detailer meant to be more of a "cleaner" than a true "protectant."

If you look at the bottle of tech protectant it will state it has petroleum distillates. OMG petroleum distillates. Well boo hoo they're everywhere, and they aren't as bad as what people make them out to seem.

However the QD doesn't state this. They're different products. I know this because I've used both The NXT gives a shine, the QD gives....nothing.
