Is there anything you can do to your engine to stop it from burning oil badly?

I have a 1992 honda prelude and it burns oil like crazy. Can I do anything about that, or am i screwed?

i know that prelude engines have a tendency to do that, but is there any remedy, that is cost effective and worth doing or is it better just to keep pouring oil in there. I'd just rather it not burn any oil. Would an engine flush help?
