This may sound dumb but is whp horse power at the wheels?? because most people in UK go by BHP which is at the crank.....i'm confused! Help
Soz if this sounds dumb but we dont have the GSR in the UK is it similar to a itr only with less compression (pistons) and a less aggressive cam profile?
WHP is hp at the wheels, yes.

The GSR uses a two stage setup like the old MKII MR-2 Turbos had(it's the only car that I could think of that had it in the US and UK). It's supposed to help bottom end torque, but most people who are serious about there cars get an intake that eliminates it completely. The bore and stroke are the same as are the valve sizes. The cam specs are better and the compression is a lot higher. Also the ITR has a higher red-line, bigger throttlebody and comes with a 4-1 header.
The displacements are identical, ITR cams are slightly more aggressive, the head has a slight port/polish and valve job, and the compression is SLIGHTLY higher...not a lot higher. In the US, the ITR is 10.6:1 whereas the GSR is 10.0:1...not a big difference. The higher redline comes from better valvetrain components.
