02RSXTYPES, I respect your opinion and greatly appreciate your advice

The salesman who sold me the car (and incidentally owns a 2001 V6 Accord Coupe) said the same thing. It was the dealership who was feeding my paranoia about getting the extra coverage. I've decided to take your advice

When I asked the dealer when they'd be getting the new models in, they replied it wouldn't be for a few weeks yet. I'm wondering if it's because we live in Canada??? So unfair ... I was dying to see the newly styled versions up close.

As to choosing the 2002 over the 2003, there were other factors involved. I was anxious to get a car now, at a decent price; the extras on the 2003 were cool, but I didn't need half of them; and after comparing the two models in pictures, side by side, I found liked the sleeker lines of the 2002 more. I just hope when I see the 2003 I won't be too disappointed in my choice! lol

trafficjam, I (not so) secretly hope you're right, lol. Btw, I did test drive the Jetta 1.8T before making my decision to stick with Honda. I found it was a fun and great looking car, but there were cabin space and visibility issues. The latter was the determining factor.
