I had the same decision to make on my 99 ACV6, and I didn't buy it. It turned out that decision saved me 1200 bucks...it's simply not worth it. Hondas are that reliable. My only non-warranty cost was a failed O2 sensor...but the dealership got Honda to replace it for free (about 250 bucks in all), so all I paid was a 20 dollar tip to the service manager.
No offense, but if you were gonna buy a sedan, I woulda waited on the 2003. Depending on your budget, of course, but the priorities you listed would make the 2003 sedan far a.d away better. Did they have any there when you went?
