You might want to change the cap on the radiator. The hose failed from overpressure. The radiator cap is designed to act as a pressure relief if the pressure gets too high long before the hose bursts.

I can see the dirty muddy crap. near the hose. Most of the mudd is probably just corrosion and detriorated rubber.
