Stock rotors; Axxis metal-masters up front. Used them for 1 track day and several auto-x's, grip very very well and have good cold bite for the street..
BUT
they make a crapload of brake dust, destroying my precious LE's. I personally wouldn't mind a more aggressive pad (Hawks HPS maybe? Axxis ultimates?) but my biggest gripe is the brake-dust. You would think a street pad would produce less dust than a track pad but I guess I'm wrong here. I've been told that the metal masters are the most aggressive street pad out there.
My stock rotors have been through one resurfacing and that was one too many. I plan to stick to brembo blank rotors as a direct replacement (cheaper if you're going to auto-x/track often) and in addition to getting more aggressive pads upgrade the brake lines (not sure which brand) and brake fluid.
I'm tempted to get slotted rotors or pay big bucks for a brake kit, but given the abuse of track days/auto-x they would be mega expensive to replace; not to mention my stopping power is adequate for now.
I have heard that the AEM pads are hardly better than OEM; can someone verfiy this or dispute this?
