^i hear u sherwood, u r not a pansy.. i had to quit wearing my contacts the air in the hospital is so dry and the chemicals so strong that the contacts dry out, hurt.. move your head or eye and they'd pop off or get stuck in the corner.. dry air promotes dust everywhere..i just started wearing them again after 2 yrs..mine r gas perms, not comfortable. some hospital procedures require wearing eye protection and that just makes it worse..vision is much better wearing them but glasses dont have the pain, hassle factor..
