no doesn't make much of a differance. the ac only makes the car lag or feel slower when its on. some people like using the excuse that its a weight reducation but it really doesn't weigh that much so if thats your only excuse then you'll get flamed. i just took it out cause i didn't feel like i needed it and i have ocd bad and hated looking at the big compressor and 2nd fan on the radiator :chuckles:
