I understand where he is coming from with the feeling that Apple wants you to get rid of your just purchased iPod because it isn't color, only has a 20 gig hd, etc etc. However, I think that they have an efficient marketing program and that is the end result. Yes, they introduce a new feature rather expediciously. It is nothing but good marketing. Joe Blow who has a 1.5 year old iPod that is perfectly functioning is now saying wow, for a similar price segment I can get a color screen, double the HD and play video and see pictures on it. Let me upgrade. They are forcing the turnover rate to be higher than it should be.
