I did the same to my 95 LS, everything is great after that! No special procedure since you've already dranied the system, all that's left is the compressor and the lines(compressor was A LOT heavier then I imagined). I cut the lines right beside the transmission (running parralell) and then proceeded to remove them at the firewall. However, once the lines are removed, you'll notice underneeth the blower motor inside, you'll be able to see outside (into engine compartment) some cold air will come in here so I plugged mine up. There is also a "charger" i'm going to call it, which is right in front of the radiator (which I felt blocks some wind flow) I removed that as well to maximize weight loss.I started with the lines connected to the compressor, unattatched those, then removal of compressor, then traced the lines and unscrewed/unbolted/cut/pulled where ever possible, then your left with plugging where they used to enter the cabin. I didn't drain remove my radiator to remove the charger, I just unbolted the top and bottom mounts then VERY carefully tilted it toward the engine to SQUEEZE the charger out. Note: pretty obvious this will hurt "standard" resale value (people who don't rice) trade in, etc. I'll see if I could include a few pix once I find a digi cam.
