i tried lookin in the helms manual but it doesnt really have instructions on taking the actual seal out.

do i have to take the cover off and then pop the seal out? or can i just yank it out without removal of the cover. this is for the big oil seal for the crank that is behind the flywheel.

any pointers would be greatly appreciated.
