OK I'm posting this for a friend so don't let me screen name decieve you.
My friend has an 89 Prelude; Not sure of the specific model. It has about 200k miles on it. He's having an issue with his electrical system. He just bought a new battery. What happens is that when he opens the door the dome light and the radio work but as soon as he turns the key in the ignition all electrical goes dead. What would cause this? I'm thinking either a short or it could be a neutralizer (he has some weird alarm he has never used on the car; could replacing the battery tripped this?). If it was a short a fuse should have blown! I've advised him to get a volt meter to check where the power stops but does anyone know what might be going on?
