I drilled a hole in a golf ball and have had it on there for 7 years. It's light weight, cheap, looks cool/different, lowers the overall length of the shifter because it sits so low, fits perfect in your hand, and has never moved at all. Just drill a hole in one with a core that's not a wound ball. Make sure the hole is not to big so that the threads will grip it tight. DO IT!

OR

If you want to do something crazy... cast a shifter out of aluminum yourself! In any shape you can make! check this shit out...
