It gives enough to use the wiper. The real fix involves removing the stearing wheel and making sure you don't blow your air bag. You'll need, If I remember right, straight screw driver, torx drivers 14mm socket, and I think that's it? Just regular tools. Unplug the busted switch and put in another from a junker.
