So I'm a newbie, so forgive me already. A while ago a friend of mine was extolling the benefits of a cold air intake on all his family members vehicles. I think he has a ford truck, and a grand cherokee. Anyway, I forget the brand, although I'm sure it was a common one. From what I understand the install was simple and the part was semi-inexpensive. I think the benefits were increased horsepower and something to talk about. I briefly considered putting one in my 4 door 98 v6 accord (otherwise factory), but I don't fully trust the opinions of one person.
I guess I'm looking for a do or don't on this one and why. Can anyone also explain the overall benefit of installing one of these type devices? Thanks!
