I put on a STP 3950 - it appears to be the exact same construction as the M1-105, with the same thread end BPV. in fact, the autozone I was at had several STP3950's in the M105 boxes. strangely enough, some of the STP3950s on the shelf did have a different construction - lighter weight with a clicker BPV on the closed end like all the other cheap champion-made filters like super tech and valuecraft.

anyway, the M105 and STP 3950 are huge filters - much larger diameter than stock but have the same threads and gasket.
