If ALL the cylinders are seeing a misfire... DO NOT DRIVE THE CAR.
This can destroy your engine!
There are three possibilies for this problem, generally:
1) Fuel Delivery (to the fuel rail)
2) Ignition System
3) EGR system
The VERY first thing to check is the ignition system
- coil
- cap
- rotor
- wires
- distributor
Then, you need to check the EGR valve and make sure it moves freely. (There is a little needle like thing in it and the valve frequently gets clogged with tons of crap. If the valve is not working like it should, it generally causes misfires on all cylinders, but can rarely cause them on only one.)
Lastly, you need to check your fuel pressure. Poor fuel pressure does not cause it's own code to be thrown, but it will cause a lean condition. (Which is REALLY bad for you engine.)
The Honda codes are generally:
- Random misfire detected
- misfire cyl 1, 2, 3, or 4
The Check Engine light will also FLASH if it's really bad... and that means? DON'T DRIVE THE CAR!!!
