I could not clearly hear the noise on your video so I am not going to comment on it.

However, I will repeat that I have 05 LX Auto and that I have a clunking noise when shifting into reverse from park or drive. I do not have the noise when shifting into drive. I believe this to be normal.

I also had 2002 Camry LE Auto which had the same noise when shifting into park. A friend of mine is a Toyota mechanic (at dealership) and we drove few other Camries with the same noise.

I would not be concerned - but if you are, and for your own safety and piece of mind, the best is to take the car to the dealer and check with them. Very likely they will tell you it is normal. Then take the car to another dealer and compare notes.

Again, I think it is a normal operating noise.


As for trannies dying out at 60k - mass production's side effect. However, I do believe (and hope) that Honda would replace tranny if it dies out at 60k.
