In 1999 I purchased a new cougar V6, loved the way it ran, hated the way the shift lever would get stuck sometimes between 1st and 3rd gear though, then my fuel pump went out, for issued a recall for the problem but my car wasn't listed so if I got below half a tank the pump would fail to send fuel and the car would buck and almost stall... The information for the car at the manufacturer was incorrect and they had it listed as a fleet car, I purchased this new so I now it wasn't a fleet vehicle, then there were other problems, when I tried to get my fuel pump fixed they said, "You car is not listed under the recall" I explained my car met the qualifications under the recall letter and is experiencing the problem listed in the recall but they didn't listen... Finally after driving a couple years with a messed up fuel pump and replacing the alternator and having to push the front air vent back in all the time cause it would always pop out, the car finally died, and only at 60k Some defect with the engine and now it doesn't hold oil pressure, well it's deceased in my garage and that brings me to my Honda.
Honda has almost 10 more miles to the gallon as my cougar had, lot more comfortable, handles just as good, and just all around great. Not to mention I know the engine is going to last me way past 60k
Stupid ford junk.
But now I have my Honda and life is much better now
